The Weird Sisters

In July 2023, I had the privilege of co-creating, writing the music and lyrics for, and musical directing The Weird Sisters, a project I developed alongside Dalia Kay and Marie-Laure Corben during my MA in Musical Direction.

We premiered The Weird Sisters at Leeds Theatre Festival before taking it to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2024, where it garnered 4-star reviews from audiences and critics alike. The musical was praised for its stellar cast and compelling score, with Playbill listing it as one of their picks of the Fringe (and awarding it a 4-star rating as well).

This project was a truly rewarding experience, allowing me to showcase my work as a musical director and composer, whilst collaborating with talented creatives to bring something fresh to the stage.

We’re currently in conversations about taking The Weird Sisters further, exploring opportunities for future productions and development. Follow our socials to be kept in the loop!

Embracing grief and girlhood through some surprisingly catchy tunes by the cleverly talented Eliza Waters, The Weird Sisters is destined to become a cult classic three-hander in community and repertory companies across both sides of the pond. Gen Z may have latched onto “Dead Mom” from Beetlejuice the Musical, but if Waters plays her cards right, Gen Alpha may be belting out “In the Inbetween” with equal abandon in a few years.
